Rose Country Labradoodles Pet Adoption Contract

This contract outlines the terms and conditions between Rose Country Labradoodles (Seller) and the Buyer for the adoption of an Australian Labradoodle puppy.

📋 Contract Details

Upon adoption, both the Seller and Buyer will complete and sign a formal contract that includes:

  • Date of agreement
  • Puppy identification / microchip number
  • Date of whelp (birth)
  • Sex and color of puppy
  • Sire (father) and Dam (mother) names

1. Purpose of Sale

The dog is sold as a pet only. Breeding is strictly prohibited under this contract. All puppies must be spayed or neutered as per the terms outlined below.

2. Health Guarantee

  • The Seller guarantees the puppy is in good health at the time of possession
  • Up-to-date on immunizations appropriate for its age
  • Has received all recommended wormings
  • A 2-year health guarantee applies against debilitating congenital defects up to the purchase price

Exclusions:

Viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, worms, giardia, coccidiosis, and illnesses caused by foreign ingestion, chemicals, or injury are not covered.

3. Health Guarantee Process

  1. Notify the Seller immediately upon observing symptoms
  2. Provide a written veterinary diagnosis with the veterinarian's contact details
  3. The puppy may be returned for a refund or replacement (at Seller's discretion) within one week of examination
  4. Buyer covers return shipping and replacement fees
  5. Refusal to return the puppy voids the guarantee
  6. Seller reserves the right to re-examine the puppy at their own cost

4. Buyer Responsibilities

  • House the dog indoors as a family member
  • Feed premium quality food
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Schedule annual veterinary check-ups and keep immunizations current
  • Administer heartworm prevention
  • Avoid public places until the puppy completes all vaccinations
  • Postpone strenuous exercise until the puppy is over 1 year old

⚕️ Spay/Neuter Requirements

  • Puppies must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age at owner's expense
  • Buyer must provide proof from a certified veterinary hospital (including pet description, breed, and microchip number)
  • Failure to provide proof voids the health guarantee
  • Seller reserves the right to reclaim the dog and charge a $6,500 breeding fee for non-compliance
  • Legal action may be pursued if terms are not met
